Like most of our clients, Sola found Band EnRoute online. Sola’s 40th Birthday celebration was one event I was really excited about because she wanted BandEnRoute to play Oldies.

After playing several gigs where the clients only wanted us to play Gospel and Juju music, along comes someone who wants to groove to Oldies, both foreign and local. My foundation in this career was in Oldies hence the excitement.

Who is Sola?

She is a Christian, wife to a dashing young man, mother to a set of lovely children, an astute business woman, and a helper of destinies. I came to this conclusion about her after One meeting, and listening to tear-inducing testimonies about her during the event. It was an All-White dressing, 150-guest event that took place at The Podium, in the heart of Ikeja, Lagos.

It was time to start and guests had started to trickle in. as soon as we had enough people to fill two tables (it was five people per table due to Covid 19 regulations), we dove in at full blast.

Alternating among genres like Ballads, mid-tempo Afro Pop, and Gospel music, we serenaded the guests. When it was time to go Oldies, we grooved like that genre of music was going out of fashion.

Allow me to say that Sola’s Fabulous 40th Birthday was a blast. Thanks Madam, for your unique taste. In making your day, we made OUR day.
