Happy 80th Birthday Alhaja Hairat Adufe Shodeinde. The event kicked-off with a Muslim service thanking the Almighty for a long and fruitful life.

I must say that this is one party-loving family. As soon as the service was over, one of the celebrant’s children walked up to me and said “Oya, party ti bere niyen” meaning “let’s get on with the partying”. True to form, soon as the music began guests started to take-up positions on the dance floor. And that’s how the dancing continued for the next five hours. Needless to say, Band EnRoute was the live band of choice.

The 80 year old mother, grand mother and great-grand mother is so nimble and spry ,it is hard to believe that she’s eighty.

This event took place at the High Point Events Centre, situated at Agidingbi, in the heart of Ikeja. I must say that I am very impressed with this venue. Not only does the management listen to their clients, they also show consideration to events vendors.

originally built to sit a thousand people (banquet style), They have had a demarcation installed. So as it stands, they can now also cater to three hundred and seven hundred capacity events separately and simultaneously.

Once again, Happy 80th Birthday Alhaja. You are eighty and swaggerlicious (if there is such a word) Ha! Ha! Ha!
